To be honest with you… up until Ewan Porter won the recent Nationwide “Moonah Classic” Tournament I’d never given Nickent Golf equipment more than a passing glance.
I haven’t even hit a Nickent club… yet.
But I’m now very keen to give a few of their new 2008 clubs a run. [Read more →]

On Saturday 9th February… when I smashed through my swing speed PB, one of the swing speed tools, I was using was
the Club Kite.
That day, I topped my previous best swing speed of 118mph, with a new PB of 126mph
(I started off with an average of 103mph).
In my Fast Adaptation Swing Speed Training (F.A.S.S.T) Program, I utilize a range of training methods and strategies that I swiped from my days of training Professional Football players… I’ve adapted and tweaked them to be used to increase swing speed in golf. [Read more →]

It’s no secret that I’m excited about the soon to be released Titleist AP Irons… especially the Titleist AP2 irons.
I don’t think it’s just me that’s excited either… there’s plenty of BUZZ all over the web about the new Titleist Irons.
While I love my Mizuno MP-57’s , being the Club Ho that I am I’m always tempted by what’s new.
Until these new AP irons come out, I thought Titleist was slipping behind in the technology department.
I even told them this in a survey about their equipment. I think a bunch of other golfers around the world did likewise, because at the AP Irons Mini-Site they acknowledge this fact and really talk up their progress in the technology department (especially with these new irons).
The AP irons are going to be beneficial to many golfers in reducing the ball speed loss from off-center hits. Sure swing speed is necessary… but if you’re not consistently striking the ball in the middle of the club-face, then you won’t be getting the most out of the swing speed that you develop.
The technology in the AP irons will help minimize loss of ball speed from less than perfect contact.
I think these irons will be a big winner in the marketplace… and possibly in my golf bag

ps - Not hard to tell that I like Titleist equipment… it’s a premium brand, with great product lines (e.g. Vokey Wedges, Scotty Cameron Putters, ProV balls etc).
